IMPI: Prórroga cierre de oficinas físicas

Con fecha 28 de abril de 2020 el Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial (“IMPI”) publicó en el Diario Oficial de la Federación (“DOF”) el Acuerdo por el que se modifica la suspensión de los plazos y no corren términos legales en el IMPI en el periodo que se indica y al Acuerdo por el que se modifica la suspensión de las actividades del IMPI por causa de fuerza mayor en los cuales se da a conocer que la suspensión de sus actividades, plazos y términos se extenderá hasta el 30 de mayo de 2020.
Sin embargo, los trámites que se presentan ante el IMPI, las promociones y solicitudes que se realicen a través del sistema en linea pueden ser presentadas de manera ordinaria.
IMPI: Close of physical offices extension
On April 28, 2020, the Mexican Office of Intellectual Property (“IMPI”, in Spanish) published the Modificatory Notice regarding the Suspension of Terms and Deadlines during the Indicated Period of Time, and the Modificatory Notice regarding Activities Suspended by IMPI due to Force Majeure, which announced that the suspension of activities, terms and deadlines will remain in effect until May 30, 2020.
However, promotions and applications before IMPI made via the online system can be submitted on a regular basis.
